Flint Glass Goblet Description
This Early American Pattern Glass goblet is clear flint glass. The pattern is Bellflower and the variety is single vine, fine rib SV-FR, plain stem, rayed base, barrel shape. There are many variations of this popular pattern.
Bellflower Pattern Glass Makers
It was first made by Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. in Massachusetts in the 1850's. It was later made by McKee & Brothers in Pennsylvania in the 1860's during the American Civil War and was subsequently made by other companies throughout the 1800's.
Goblet Dimensions and Condition Details
Height: 6”
Cup Width: 3 1/4” and 3 3/8”
Base Width: 3 1/2”
Condition: The goblet is in good condition free of any obvious flaws, but has two tiny pin head sized nicks near bottom of barrel.
