This is a Granny Character Jug in large size by Royal Doulton China. These pieces are also sometimes referred to as a Toby or Toby Mug.
Granny Character Details
There were very few female characters made in this jug format by Royal Doulton, and this single toothed Granny is certainly unique. This is the 2nd version of the Granny design, the 1st design featured toothless Granny and was issued from 1935-1941.
