Witherstine Woodcut Description

This original print by American artist Donald Witherstine (1896-1961) is a large unframed black and white woodcut titled Eighth Century Bridge - Espalion - France.  We estimate it to be circa 1930.

It is pencil signed and titled along the lower margin.  It is printed on tissue like handmade paper with wire lines.

Sheet size:  16” x 11 3/4”
Image size:  11 1/2” x 9 1/4”
Condition:  Very good.  There are a few spots of foxing in the right margin and 2 pieces of tape residue on the back of the sheet.
