Flint Glass Spooner Description and Makers
This Early American Pattern Glass EAPG spooner is clear flint glass. The pattern is New England Pineapple, also known as Loop & Jewel, Pineapple, and Sawtooth.
It was made by New England Glass Co. and Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. in the early 1860's.
Spooner Dimensions and Condition Details
Height: 5”
Opening width: 3 1/2”
Base width: 2 7/8"
Condition: There is some wear on the inside at the bottom of the vessel that makes the glass in that area look a bit cloudy. We presume this to be from its original use as a spoon holder. Otherwise it is undamaged and in very good condition for its age. The glass is clear or colourless. Any colour seen in the photos is from reflections.
