Flow Blue Teapot Description
This is an antique Flow Blue, ironstone, brush stroke pattern teapot made by Joseph Clementson in 1840.
In Quebec it is collected as Canadiana. It is known as the Aster and Grapeshot or Blueberry pattern, and is the most valuable and desirable of the brush stroke flow blue patterns in Canada.
Teapot Dimensions and Condition
Height with lid: 9 1/2”
Height without lid: 7 1/4”
Length spout tip to handle edge: 10 3/4”
Width body side to side: 6”
Foot width: 4 3/4”
Condition: The larger part of the body has been repaired. The spout has some wear on the edge as well. It still shows nicely as the finish is in good condition overall.
