Rembrandt Etching Description
This original print is a black and white etching restrike of the largely worn out original plate by the famous Dutch artist Rembrandt (1606-1669). It is titled The Three Trees.
It is noted in pencil along the bottom margin "Hand printed by Theo Beerendonk" (Dutch, 1905-1979). Beerendonk was an artist and printmaker who was appointed the curator of the Rembrandt House Museum in Amsterdam in 1966. It is printed on thick handmade paper with wire lines and a well-defined platemark.
